West Swan 24/25 State Budget
This year’s State Budget is delivering more than ever, for the West Swan community!
Every West Swan household will receive another $400 credit on their electricity bill bringing the total to a record $1800 over recent budgets.
Families can access our WA Student Assistance Payment, supporting our kids with $150 for each kindergarten and primary school student, or $250 for each high school student. We’ve also made public transport free to and from school for students.
We continue to deliver METRONET Morley-Ellenbrook Line which is expected to be complete by the end of this year, making it easier and more affordable to get to work, school, uni and TAFE.
We’ve capped public transport fares and made public transport free every Sunday - making travel in our suburbs more affordable for everyone.
We’re investing in local schools, including the planning and development of Brabham Senior High School (planning name), new permanent classrooms at Caversham Primary School, and a new primary school in Brabham East (opening next year)!
We’re investing hugely in health, delivering more beds for our hospitals, more nurses and doctors, and further reforms to reduce surgery wait times.
We’re supporting the new screen production facility in Malaga, creating new local jobs and employment opportunities.
