Education Minister Dr Tony Buti officially opened the recently completed Dayton Primary School in Perth's growing north-eastern suburbs.
The school officially opened its doors to 203 foundation students from Kindergarten to Year 6 at the beginning of the 2023 school year.
Local students are already benefitting from the school's $24.3 million state-of-the-art facilities, which include classroom blocks, covered assembly and play areas, and outdoor learning spaces designed to inspire creativity and collaboration.
Dayton Primary School has been designed to accommodate future growth of up to 540 students and is one of five new schools to be officially opened during 2023.
Since 2017 the WA Labor Government has invested more than $900 million to build and open 30 new primary schools and 9 secondary schools. Dayton Primary School is one of five new schools to be officially opened during 2023.
This is an impressive new primary school that will provide students in the fast-growing suburb of Dayton with outstanding spaces for learning, while easing pressure at surrounding schools.
I would like to thank Principal Dr Ray Boyd and the staff for their commitment to the community and facilitating a smooth transition of new students at the school.
Dayton Primary School was one of my key election commitments at the last election and I’m proud to see it delivered.
